On July 30, the Parent Committee of Tsinghua Affiliated High School Bay Area Campus partnered with Funto Law Firm to co-host a social practice exchange event titled "Dialogue with Legal Professionals, Embarking on the Senior Year Journey."

The event aimed to help soon-to-be senior year students broaden their understanding of career paths through practical sharing by industry professionals. The atmosphere was lively, with nearly 20 law-interested students and parents participating.

The event began with Funto’s post-00s trainee lawyers reminiscing about their own senior year experiences—how they achieved academic turnarounds to enter their desired universities and majors, and how they enhanced their competitiveness and social adaptability through competitions and activities during college. Their relatable stories instantly bridged the gap with the students.

Next, Lawyer Guo, a young practicing lawyer at Funto and graduate of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, shared her journey from "cross-disciplinary exploration" to "professional excellence," encouraging students to bravely face the uncertainties of senior year. She reminded them, "Don’t focus on short-term gains or losses; stay grounded and forge your own path." His candid presentation resonated deeply, with many students nodding in agreement. Lawyer Zhan, a graduate of the South China University of Technology Law School, discussed how to maintain a balanced mindset amid academic fluctuations and emphasized the importance of logical thinking for aspiring legal professionals. Trainee Lawyer Trina Peng, who holds a postgraduate degree in International Law from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, shared insights on combining "English + Legal skills" to diversify academic planning. Ms. Liu, Head of Administration and Human Resources, provided recruitment perspectives on internship criteria and highlighted the value of social practice, offering practical advice for pre-senior students.

During the interactive Q&A session, students actively raised pointed questions:

1. What are the differences between corporate in-house counsel and law firm lawyers? How should one choose?

2. What are the career progression paths for lawyers?

3. How should one plan to become a interdisciplinary legal talent?

4. What does a trainee lawyer’s daily work involve?

5. What qualities and competencies make law graduates competitive?

6. What does the university curriculum for law majors include?

The guests provided detailed, thoughtful answers to each query.
